Pastor's Message
Greetings in the name
of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please allow me this
opportunity to express my self sincere gratitude for your
tangible expression of love. I would like to thank you for
your prayers, labor of love, time and gift on behalf of the
St John's Baptist family of Lakeview. Obviously because of
you sowing into this ministry this has been a tremendous year.
As we reflect on the eighteenth year
history of St. John's Baptist Church, it is imperative that
we pay tribute to those who have interacted with his family
over the years. Admittedly, I have only been an intricate
part of the life of St. John's for eighteen years. Mother
Walker, one of the organizer was an active member when I became
pastor September of 1987. In our many conversations it was
apparent that not only should we recognize the struggles of
the organizer but it was a good thing to pay tribute to our
supporters.
Today we honor and give kudos to all
but focus on the few will honor today. This year we have emphasized
the fact that we can do it better together. Although only
one is a member of the St. John's Baptist Church. All have
had a positive impact on the life of St. John's. This group
epitomizes the truism we can do it better together.
I pray that we as the people can consciously
support the truth of doing it better together. We simply need
to recognize the fact we as a people fearfully and wonderfully
made. Psalms 139:4
